The “Automatic Collector Unit ” is built integral to the rear delivery table of a Foldmaker 35, 55, 64 or 64+12 and is designed to collect unfolded small pieces which are bypassed through the folder.
The unfolded article to be “collected” is conveyed from the folder and passes over the collector blade. When approximately ¾ of the article has passed, the collector blade activates to lay the article on to the edge of the delivery table as shown in the photo below, with subsequent articles being laid on the top of the previous one to form a stack of unfolded articles. A pre-set count can be set via the keyboard control on the folder and when this pre-set count is reached the light above the relevant lane illuminates to indicate that the completed stack is to be removed. A single operator can then easily handle the multi-lane workflows of articles.
