Building on a successful run of 2019 events, Weir Rallying UK have set their sights on success at the 2020 Fuchs Lubricants British Historic Rally Championship. Continuing their pairing with three time Welsh Champion Alex Allingham taking the wheel, and with Ross Weir firmly in the co-drivers seat, the strong pairing are ready for their first full championship here in the UK.
Stepping away from a programme of success on tarmac events, BHRC’s new look 8-round series will see the pairing take on a challenging full championship of tarmac and gravel combination as they aim for podium placing with their Ford Escort Mk II.
Despite the scale of the championship ahead of them, a fantastic season in 2019 of 5 class wins including the Barbados Rally ensures both Allingham and Weir are riding on a high, and confidence in their ability to be the surprise of the season.
Rob Weir, team principal said: “I’m excited to see what’s next, after a triumphant end to 2019, we can’t wait to take part in the forthcoming events this year. With Alex and Ross in the car, I can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve.”
